igot no spark after changing fuel pump ? any suggestions

Did you have spark before you changed the fuel pump or is this the walboro your installing.

also check your grounds and make sure your fuel lines arnt backwerds make sure the lines are where the need to be if not its not going to run right.

maybe a bad ignitor, coil? have you tested each spark plug or just one? you should get spark even if your fuel pump doesnt work.

i had spark b4 i changed the pump i only checked the front plug but another thing i noticed was the plug was really burnt up and i only got 1000 miles on the plugs ? but the ignitor is the q45 i thought they were suppost to last?

ok so maybe you fouled out your plugs. did you start the car and then remove the fuel pump fuel and let motor use up all the fuel in the lines and then shut off on its own? if not maybe the plugs got fouled with all the remaining fuel in the lines. if you think its your ignitor i have a replacement. just let me know and we can work something out.

alright cool ima gonna replace the plugs this weekend how much for the ignitor

Brand new?? iirc, somewhere around the price range of 300$+. A used one should be around 50-65$

Question for you is the fuel pump turning on when you turn the key to the one position.

yeah the fuel pump kicks on just got no spark now its either plugs fouled out which i replaced or the ignitor i've checked over the wiring its all good just wont start it turns over just wont run?any suggestions

Alright now are you getting a code from your ECU if you are and do not know how to read it here you go.Also check the singnal comming from you cam position sensor.

Long Flash - 0.6 seconds on (the first digit)

Short Flash - 0.3 seconds on (the second digit)

Long Gap - 2.1 seconds off (used between codes)

Short Gap - 0.9 seconds off (used between digits)

There are two digits in each code. Count the long flashes, then the short flashes (only count how many times the light is ON) and you'll have a 2 digit code. These codes are covered in the service manual.
