I tried to start my RB20 today, but no good. The ecu flashes 55, the relays click, and the gauge on the fpr says 38psi when the pump primes. It cranks real strong, but doesn't want to start. I put a tester on the first plug and the light didn't come on while cranking. When I pulled the plugs they were bone dry. One thing that is different is that the machine shop broke the tab off of the exhaust cam so I had to mark the cas shaft and the cam to get it as close as possible. Its prolly something stupid, but any help would be appreciated.

Im guessing that your injectors are not spraying? do you smell gas in the cylinders when you take out the spark plugs? If not I know on the rb25 theres a grey wire that puts 12 volts to the injectors. Also as far as spark, make sure that you're gettin 12 volts at the coil packs, also groud and .12 on the middle one... check fsm for exact volatge spec on the middle plug

I had that same issue and it turned out to be the CAS. Id check that first since it is what ultimately tells the ECU when to fire the coils and injectors (and if it doesnt tell the ECU anything, nothing happens).

I checked the CAS. I get 5v all the time on the grn/blk while spining the CAS by hand. I get .23v on the grn/yellow with it occasionally jumping up to 5v or going OL(not on every revolution). So I'm guessing it's shot. I'm wondering if it was on the way out and thats why it ran so bad the first time I started it up?

Im 100% sure it's the CAS now. I've never seen one go like this before. The electronics are in working order its just that the shaft sheared off. http://nissaninfiniticlub.net/...t=500
