Good day folks.
I bought an 87 nissan d21 truck this summer for $300 . It had a throttle body but 6 years ago throttle body stopped working and truck was parked...
Through these years rats got in it and chewed some wiring.

When I bough the truck it had spark although coils rotted off the body I connected the ground to the mounting holes and saw a spark.I spun the motor and i saw good spark.
Then I decided to convert it to the carburetor...Bought a weber carburetor and now that conversion is done I dont have a spark!

I don't have a wiring diagram. I couldn't locate one on line so I have no idea where to start my troubleshooting. So if any of you guys out there can help and steer me in the right direction toward finding the problem I would be very thankful.

I also consider going away from computerized distributor and going back to pre 86 or earlier year distributor though I don't know if it will fit.
This engine got 2 sparkplugs per cylinder . Engine is Z24-I if i am not mistaking...

So the question #2 is what years distributor would fit on this motor if I decide to get away from computer? and what else will I need to buy to get the ignition system to work?

Please let me know because I really like this truck and would love to get it back to working order.

Thank you.

Sounds to me like there may be an intermittent short somewhere in the wiring, since it worked at one point, and after working on it, it doesn't. I'd look for shorts between wires and study the EL section of the FSM like it's the answers to final exams the night before.
