Hi all!

I am still struggeling with my SR20DET conversion. I got a blacktop and I switched from a CA18DET engine.

My first thought was that the CA ignitor module would work with SR aswellbut it seems like I dont get any spark what so ever.

I have just bought my self an SR20DET ignitor module and noticed that the connectors for the module is diffrent. On the CA there is 3*2 "connectiing" wires in the connector and one is empty and on the other side there is 4 in 2rows also.

My question is: Does the CA module not work with the SR?. is this the cause?.

Like to hear your thoughts before I start cutting wires again

Umm are you using the SR's engine harness or the CA??If the connectors are different how the heck are you plugging in a CA ignitor onto a SR harness?

I got both the SR and the old CA harness and I have rebuilt them togheter so in that way I can use the old CA Ignitorchip. But it does not work.

Everything seems to be working I have tested every signal twice but nothing.

Today I tried to check the signals from the ignitorchip by closing the "switch" for it and messure the effect.. the result was that the Ignitor Coil burnt up ok my misstake on that one. but thnx to that I now also know that the module is for sure able to send signals.. just need a new coil

are you sure your getting no sparktry the 1st cylinder, by unbolting your coilpack and still have it connected to the plug, then gently stick a screwdriver in there and have it really close to metal and have someone crank themotor to see if it sparks, try this with all your coilpacks, then try to ohm them out, they should read 9 ohms i believe.

If not then try re-stabbling your CAS like Phase 2 has detailed in thier website.

Also if your gunna re-stab the CAS, take it out, turn the ignition on to the "running/on"position and turn the gear at the end by hand, and listen to see if your injectors are clicking or what not

if all your coilpacks are good and your getting power to the middle wire on each one with the ignition on and only 1 cylinder is sparking, then you know the problem can lay withing wiring, cause i had a type-x harness where only the first coilpack would fire the plug cause of a different harness layout, if you tell me the positions and colors of the plug on the harness going to the ECU (blue one) then i can tell you what to do if this is the problem
