What could cause my car to get no spark, 75 amp alt fusible link was blown and replaced, still no spark. Please read below!!!! Hellllllllppppppp!!!!My car is drowning (in gas)! Here is my problem, at least with my car!

While getting a clutch replaced, my car battery died.

When the clutch was finished, the car started, and was test driven by me and my mechanic, then parked. I went out of town for a week, so i left it there parked in the shop. The battery was dead when he tried to take it out of the shop where it was parked when i got back in town, and wouldnt start.

After the battery was charged disconnected(im not sure how it was charged), i will crank but will not start. I checked the plugs and replaced them because of flooding. Still no go.

then i noticed my 75 amp fusible link for the alt was blown, so i replaced it.

now i have no spark!

does anyone pleeease have any input, my car has been a daily driver for over 2 years and running fine untill battery charge and and attempted starting.

i have searched on this topic and didn't find anything quite like this!?!?

Im wondering if something else happened.....? have you verified that your not getting spark, or do you think your not getting spark because its not starting?

hrm... i know if you disc. the batteries w.o the memory saver thing hooked up, everything will reset.that can cause the ecu to go.it happend to a focus where a guy i know works at.. they blew all elec. acc. by not using the memory saver.

could be your case...hope not

ecu code 21, ignition signal which in the fsm says check the wiring/harness and the power transistor ie. the ignitor chip.

i did this, and what i get is this.

where you should have no continuity, i have none so ok.

where you should have continuity, i have found 30k-45k ohms of resistance where in the fsm it says you should have continuity.

to me continuity would be near zero ohms where these are much higher.

so i think it could be the ignitor since the ecu gives me codes, and nothing in the ecu looks burnt up and it is giving me codes, turning on the fuel pump, and injecting fuel.

i just don't know if continuity means any.

could someone please test thiers and tell me if they get any sort of resistance where you should have continuity?

id consider pickin up an ignitor and see if it fixes it, they should be cheap from our classifieds section.
