So the car die out of nowhere and I found out that the fuel pump wire is broken so I rewire it directly to the batt for power. The car still won't start, it cranks but won't start. My friend check and said that my ECU is fried because the direct connection to the batt and the ECU can't see the fuel pump online or something. So I got new ECU and plug in but it won't start neither. What should I check/do next? what do you think happen? I put in the STP fuel system cleaner but I don't think that would cause the car to crank and not start. I don't have spark and no injector pulse either I think. Please help

Ok, so it died because the fuel pump wire "Fried", can you describe that a bit better? How did you connect it to the battery directly? As of now, I'm assuming you have a 91 240sx with a KA24DE motor. If this is the case, the fuel pump's relay is located by the battery. Unless you have a short elsewhere, I'd replace the relay instead. If you hard wired it into the battery and it runs continously, then it should start if that is the problem. I know you said no spark in your subject line but not in your post so are we also not having any spark? Not sure why your friend would say the ECU, my first guess would be the coil pack for no spark, cheapest route first. You can also pick up a cheap spark tester at a local autoparts store.

More info would also help us help you.

thanks for the comment. I'll try to clearify some stuffs. 91 240SX hatch

So I wired a direct wire from the fuel pump to the batt and the pump runs but I still can't start the engine. So I check the spark plugs - no spark, coil - no sparks. I bought a used distributor/ignition coil, put in the distributor and it still doesn't fix it. The coil my friend tried to put it on but I think it's the wrong model.

My friend try to get codes from the ECU but the ECU doesn't turn on in test mode so he think the ECU is fried. I got new ECU and my friend tried to looks for injector power but seems like there's no power to in the injector. I don't know if my friend were able to pull any code or not. I read somewhere that it might be the cam angle sensor, but isn't a new distributor already include the CAS because I have the slot where you plug in the wire set. Thanks for all your help.

It sounds like you have a fuel problem not a spark problem. First check and make sure you have the correct fuel pressure, it should be around 35-40PSI(Borrow a fuel pressure gauge from Autozone) and also check fuel pump relay. Maybe check injectors too.

why do you think it's a fuel problem and not spark. I not trying to go against you but just want to see how did you know that? Thanks

You said it cranks but no start, usually when it goes as far as cranking the electrical is fine. I could be wrong, maybe someone with more experience can correct me.
