no spark at times on my 1995 240sx

i have recently had the problem of having no spark. it will start sometimes, then when i shut it off and try too start it, it wont have spark. and it misses when idling. runs fine once i get the rpms up....i have traced my wires to the dist. nothing seems to be messed up...this is driving me crazy. anyone have an idea what it could be? i have the ka24de motor . its a 1995 nissan 240sx. thanks

Sounds like you have a distributor problem.Start the car ,let it warm up and tap on the distributor and see if it shuts off.

Try turning on the car in complete darkness, you will see if your spark is "leaking" in one or more of your wires
