2004 maxima. So I changed my two guides and tensioner on my max, did not touch chain.pieced it all back together but now it wont start. All electrical is reconnected. I've checked all fuses and everyone works. Engine is grounded out properly as well. It seems in the plug in there is a 3 wires for power, ground, and ecm. It seems to have power right up to the coils, but it seems that the comp is not sending a signal to spark my plugs. Im told because my car was not running for about a weekthat my comp has to be reprogrammed at dealership. sensors seem connected properly and shaft is rotating. Again i didnt touch chain so my timing should be on still. and it turns over with no burps or hiccups just wont start. Also I hooked it up to a fresh battery to try to start to make sure theres enough juice and even charged my battery for about an hour? Can anyone please lemme know what this prob might be? thx

Only three things can cause that kind of problem. Air, fuel or spark. Are you getting proper air flow? Are you getting spark? Are you getting fuel?

The ECM sends low-level voltage to each coil which is then amplified by the power transistor in the ignition coil to fire the spark plug. Have you done a 'spark' test of the spark plug? You can try any of the spark plug in Bank 2 (2-4-6)

Since you have done work on the chain guide, it possible that you have a loose connection (or damaged?) on the Crankshaft Position (POS) sensor or Camshaft Position (PHASE). The ECM uses a lot of sensors to control ignition but if either one (POS or PHASE) is not working, the ECU will not send signal to the ignition coils.

Just to be on the safe side, check your battery voltage - >12,5 VDC with engine OFF (>13.8 VDC if you can get your engine to run (charging).
