my 93 240sx drove fine through 3 large pools of water about a foot deep each, car ran fine till the water pulled the pastic undersiding in the wheel- well came off, so I parked and turned it off for a sec while I zip tied the inside fender cover. Got back in to proceed driving and it wouldn't start. Nice strong crank from the battery. Diagnosed it back to no spark, then a number 11 stored on the ECU, crank/cam senor, but my disributer is 2 weeks old and no moister or water at all got inside it. Peeled back the wiring harness from the coil all the back towards the coolant sensor. alot of little water droplets and moister had gotten up in there. Currently Im letting all the wires dry out, any clues or has anyone fixed a related problem?

Just because no water got into the distributor proper doesn't mean its not the problem. trace al lthe wires back. The code is the clue, somethign easily could have shorted in the relevant wires yet still be all the way across the engine bay. follow the harness for the crank and cam sensor.

samething happend to me. i don't know the problem or how to fix it but the fact you carry zip ties means your one step ahead of most people.

ya my 240 is loaded up with zip ties. good news though after I untaped more harness and let it dry in the sun , she fired right up and runs good, so to make sure she would stay running I taped up most of it while it was running to ensure myself that it will continue to run fine. Now i just need to search the forum to see whats the normal cause for High beams being out and Idle being messed up
