no sound with aftermarket stereo

Car: 2008 nissan rogue with bose sound system

i installed an aftermarket stereo with bluetooth, gps, dvd etc. the unit turns on and runs but do not gt any sound out of my speakers. the stock deck still produces sound so i know its not the speakers that arent working. all the wires are connected correctly. would the bose system be the problem?

You need to do one of 2 things to make your head unit work with the factory BOSE system:

A) Bypass the stock amp (located under the floor in the cargo area). This is a bit complex as you will need to replicate the factory crossover for the front speakers, sub, etc. I don't recommend this.

B) Install a line converter between the new headunit and factory BOSE amp. This is required as the BOSE system uses balanced line inputs which are not directly compatible with the unbalanced line outputs used on most aftermarket head units. You also need to make sure the remote amp signal is connected to your new headunit.
