I was mostly concerned if something major like a check engine light or if something fails and causes the engine to over heat then I expect the car to yell at me. I like reasonable beeps and alarms.
you cant read gauges? there is a temp gauge right in front of you - check it every now & then, and you will be fine. the more a car is programmed to beep and warn you - the less responsibility you take upon yourself, knowing something will just warn you. the less things you check on your own, relying upon things that can fail = the more disaster you face.
wake up, and get into the ritual:
1. every-time you start the car: check your fuel level
2. every traffic light: check your gauges for the temp gauge, check engine lights, etc.
3. every 15-20mins on the highway, find a straightaway, and check your cluster for any lights/errors/temp issues.
PS: your check engine light doesnt make any chimes either.
