I am a new infiniti owner. My car is sweet like new but there is no sound comming from speakers at all. the radio looks like its onbut there is no sound what-so-ever. Any ideas? I'm pretty sure it is a bose system

hmm did the seller tell you like when or how long the radio's been doing that if it powers up and reads cd's and thinks like that it could be a internal amp problem. you could either pull the radio out or pop a speaker(s) out and test the wires with a multimeter while the radio is on and suppose to be playing. you should be getting some voltage if not its the radio also can test yoru speaks buy using a 9 volt battery connecting the negative and positive speaker wires to the batter you should hear a small popping noise each time they touch the battery but i really doubt its something with all the speakers

just remebered you think its a bose system with that said there should be an amp really close to each speaker or could have a main amp hidden somewhere under a seat, in the dash, the trunk make sure the amps are all getting power by testing with a multimeter

The Bose amps are on the back of the 6x9's in the rear and the amps in the front are inside of the plastic enclosure in the doors. It sounds as if the amps are toast. The headunit could be fried as well. OR... if your headunit powers up and there isnt any noise/sound/anything... then something might not be connected properly... such as all the speakers.

A more likely scenario is that your amps have gone the way of the Dodo. Do a search in the car audio forum and you will find a lot of Bose info.

I am going to have a BOSE system thread that I will design soon.
