No signal to maf very weird problem

Message I have a very weird problem here. So I am get the battery voltage to the maf connector along wit the 2 middle pins on the connector havering good ground. Problem lies with the signal wire. I check for voltage koeo and nothing. I have my friends z and he gets 1.6 volts at to where I get 0. So I think short to ground cause I have continuity to ground on the signal wire. So I take his ecu out put it in my z and check and still I get 0 volts at the connector. I go to the ecu itself find the signal wire back probe that wire that comes right out of the ecu that goes straight to the maf as signal wire and still 0 volts. This was the same ecu that gave the other z 1.6 volts in the same location. I don't get it and am getting very mad at this car. Any help would be great

SOLVED! Wat I did was cut the signal wire at the ecu and cut the same wire at the maf. I striped the wires and jumped it and car ran perfect. Seems like there was a short to ground somewhere. Thanks for the help
