No security light in 3rd Gen?

I find that not having a flashing security light indicating the alarm is active to be oddly discomforting. I park outside my window and used to see the red blinking. Now it just sits there dead and lifeless. Is this a new trend in vehicles?

Do you honestly think a red flashing light is going to deter a thief intent on stealing your vehicle. Wow! You can get a fake one if it would make you feel better.

No, Its just weird. Something you have for 30 years and then you dont. You come to rely on it. Its an indicator that the keys are not in the vehicle and its locked. Now the indicator is missing.

Fake one IS a good idea , I rigged a 9V w/ flashing LED and stuffed battery under dashmat when I worked Vegas trade-shows , always had to park in BomFunkt !!
