Alright.. i've been searching forever, and tried tons of different things, but still have this problem... this is on my '91 240sx Hatch SE 110k miles.
Whenever I go to turn my headlights on, my tail light fuse blows.. this means I have no cluster lights, climate control lights, tail lights..
Head lights do work. If I press on the brake, the brake lights come on. Blinkers work..
At the moment, I have all the tail lights, side markers, and front turn signals unplugged. Stereo is completely removed. But the fuse keeps blowing. I've checked the TCU and the board looks fine, no black burn marks anywhere. So what else is there to check... which wires? this sucks, because I can't drive at night.. and that's when I work.
Also, I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I moved my battery to the trunk about 2 weeks ago.. I went along the passenger side down by the ecu, and under the carpet with the power wire.
Edit: Okay, I have EVERYTHING unplugged..and all the wires and connections looks good... i've unplugged cluster, climate control, glove box light, ash try light, tails, front, sides, 3rd brake light, stereo (still has original harness, so no loose wires) everything.. even the TCU. but as soon as I turn the light switch, the fuse blows.. could this be caused by a bad light switch?
