no rpm tach signal! how to hardwire?

just swaped in an s14 sr in my s14 and the tachometer isnt working so i checked the wire for the tach and it isnt getting any signal i think theres something wrong with my harness.. so is there any way to hardwire it to make my tachometer work? i heard something about wiring it to cas but havnt find any info about it.. i need help guys! i dont wanna mess up my sr by accidentally revving too high..

I had the same problem. You are worried about reving high??? Guess what? Do it! The tach should wake up. It has happened to me everytime I unplugged my ECU. Rev it up to the limiter. Or try smaking the dash. Both methods have worked for me. Hope it does for you.

I have the same problem

Its an N/A S14 SR into a S14..

my Tachy No Worky..

ive gotten used to it tho..and will be entering my first drift day next month tachless..wish me luck...
