no reverse

i have a 91 ka24de 240 with 124000 miles, and my car lost reverse. it happen randomly probly about 3 months after i got my transmission fluid changed by jiffly lube. just one day the stick wouldnt move into the reverse postition. do i need a new clutch? or is my transmission dead? thanks

Dead synchro maybe. Odd you said this happened after a fluid change. As I've had synchros go bad right after a fluid change. Doesn't make sense.Anyway, have you tried putting it in 3rd then try Reverse? Or push in clutch, put in Reverse(try to) and while putting pressure on Reverse SLOWLY release clutch and it might slip in.

Can you get it in rev. with the engine off or will it not go in at all? Does it grind when tring to go into rev.? Will the shifter go over into the rev. gate or does it not go over ?

no i doesnt go in at all... not even when the car is off. its seems so strange to me... mabe a linkadge problem???
