No Reverse... Sometimes...

HI, I have a 1997 Infiniti qx4 and it breaks my heart that sometimes she will not go into reverse. What happens is 1 out of 5 times I put it from Park to reverse nothing happens it just idles, or feels like its half in but slipping..

Any ideas? going from nutral into reverse seems to work better.... ??

The transmission fuild level and color seem fine..

When was the last time the fluid was serviced? How many miles are on your QX4?
