Ok, so I carefully drove my car home from getting the swap done yesterday. I do not have the recirculation valve as my motorset didn't come with one. I am planning on ordering a hot pipe and HKS SSQV tomorrow. My question is -- would not having any type of blow off valve cause the idle problems I'm having? When I start the car it seems to idle fine. As soon as I give it a little bit of gas and rev it up it starts to stumble and if left alone ends up stalling. The vac line to the throttle body is plugged as is the hole in the intake where it recirculates to. What's the deal? I heard of people having problems when trying to vent the stock recirculating valve, is this the same thing? Will my problems be solved once the hot pipe and new HKS unit are in? I'm stumped.

IF everything is pluged up your car should idle fine. I mean a bov really helps keep your turbo healthy, by keeping back pressure of the compressor wheel, so i would check to make sur that everything related to your bov is properly capped off and make sure you dont have any leaks.

I'll double check. But upon further searching my problem seems to be similair to other people's. Cold start, idle, rough idle, dying after revving, etc... I will check my MAFS, thermostat, and O2. Anyone else got any ideas?

alot of people with a non-recirc bov use a apexi afc to richen up their idle a little, you can turn the idle up some with the idle adjust screw in the intake manifold, but not the same as adding a little more fuel, which doesn't really raise your rpms.... usually solve the problem right up
