alright guys, i have no power AT ALL. not even my overhead lamp. i rechecked my wiring and it looks like everything is right according to frsport, but for the end part cutting the end off the sr harness and wiring in the ka harness, that the o2 can connect to the black with red, so i have that right, and then it says you connect the blue with red wire to the black with red wire meaning there is 3 wires connecting at that point which is all for the main ignition. thats all dandy but i noticed theres another blue with red wire coming off the sr side, its a smaller gauge so i instinctively used the thicker gauge wire thinking it was for the ignition. am i correct?

No power to anything in the chassis, like the room lamp, etc... would most likely the result of a blown fuse in the engine bay. It wouldnt be effected by the engine wiring. Go to the passenger side fuse box, take the cover off and inspect all the fuses closely. Especially the alternator fuse, its the big grey one that says 75 amp on it. Check for bad grounds.... yadda, yadda, yadda.

How many times has this been addressed before? This link my prove to be very useful... zerosearch HIJACKER where is that gaint search button at??? It could come in really handy sometimes lol!!!

Oh snap!! Aftermarket security systems can be a PITHA. If the alternator fuse is dark looking that probably means that it could of got really hot and blown. Look closely to see if the metal strip inside is burnt through or check for continuity with a voltmeter, that is, assuming you have one know how to use it.

Worse comes to worse you may have to disconnect your security system somehow...

i just pulled apart the security system. didn't fix anything. the alternator fuse looks pretty dark but it doesn't look burnt through to where it would be disconnected

Get a voltmeter and probe the two terminals where the alternator fuse plugs in. If you get no voltage there then there has to be a bad ground somewhere. It sounds stupid but it does happen. Check the battery terminals for corrosion and make sure that the battery is actually charged. Chech all obvious grounds.

Has your car ran before this? Or did you just swap the motor and are going for first start up? If its a first start up thing then it could get pretty tricky to diagnose.

i checked it and got no power, i replaced the fuse with a good one from my clip, same 75. something is effing wrong! obvious grounds including battery, lower harness and engine grounds are all connected

I FOUND SOMETHING. its a little steel braided line thats bolted to the back of the sr and it ends with a little black rectangular harness and if i remember correctly, if its not plugged in, you'll have problems with ignition. but idk where it goes!!
