The motor I'm having trouble with is out of a 95 240 and it's now in a 92. I switched over the manifolds, alternator, and distributor from the 92. In the process of the swap we removed the EGR, swirl control valve, carbon canister, IACV, and we made sure to block all of those off. We also changed the plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and the rotor. Here lately though I've been having an issue of no low end power. It's so noticable it's almost like vtec or something similar, it's a huge surge of power. At WOT it feels kind of boggy, and it feels slightly better at half throttle. It also kind of bogs when I shift and get back on the gas when driving normally. Any idea what this could be?

Forgot to mention that's been replaced as well, my bad on that one. Yeah I had that problem when we first got the car running again and it was worse then this. When that went wrong the car would fall on its face when you accelerated then it would usually stall.

Make sure your base timing is right too. I had my laptop hooked up, and noticed that the ecu is pulling 40 degrees of retard due to the knock sensor I think.

Yeah I talked to my friend about it and we decided to start there. Time it properly and then if it's still doing that then we'll start looking into the knock sensor. I'd rather time it for free then pay around $130 for the knock sensor.
