Ok so quickly to get everyone on the same page. I have a 90 hatch shell, with a dohc swap. It's a 5-speed, base model, manual everything.

Let me start of by saying I HAVE NO SOHC WIRING IN THE CAR AT ALL!. Nothing is cut at all,Every piece of wiring is from a 92. Motor is from a 96. I have an S14 upper intake mani. All emissions removed. Windshield squirters, A/c, and emissions wiring is still present in the harness but not plugged in. Ok so I just rebuilt the motor, and wired the car up. When I turn the key on I get power to the fuel pump fuse, but not to the relay (tested with a multimeter) If I jump a wire from the batter to the "out" prong of the relap the pump comes on and the car runs fine. Any ideas? Thanks.

By and idea's I mean does anyone have any ideas on why there would be power to the fuse and not the relay? Certain grounds to check? Maybe a connector? I'd like to check some stuff before I pull all the wiring out an go over it again.

I say just hardwire the fuel pump instead of trying to debug the wiring. Don't forget to install a relay to shut it off in case power is cut off or engine's shut down. Your answer may be in the fsm or on the boards, but this is one way to do it.

Remeber that there's a good way and a bad way to hardwire a pump however. The bad way is having it directly to the battery w/o possibility of it shutting off. Just imagine an car accident involving an engine/cabin fire w/the pump not being able to shut off.

Hardwiring was my second option, I've just went through great lengths to keep this engine bay as clean as possible. I deffinetly agree with you on hardwiring it through a relay though. It's good to post it in forums like this though, you would be amazed how many people don't think of stuff like that. I just jumped mine while it was in the garage to help diagnose the problem.

FSM, the EL section and a multimeter is all you need, Ohm it all out unsure its correctly wired, then check for power at a number of points.

Ok so I pulled my dash, interior, and front clip off to check all my wiring, I found a ground that I had completely missed back by the driver rear strut tower. Still no power to that relay. Pump won't even prime, and cluster is non-working completely. Does anyone know what those relays under the dash mounted to the fuse boxes are?

Also my EGI relay (located just to the left of the fuel pump relay is clicking after I turn the key off.
