So my car hasn't been running due to some wires being burnt and cut open and in half, but I have fixed those for now.

Engine: ka24det dual cam (1994)
Car: 240sx s13 hatch (1990)

I'm not getting NO power to my ECU and fuel pump and come to find out I'm getting no power to my Fuel pump and Eng Cont fuse (10) in the passenger fuse box under the hood. I checked them and they seem to be fine, not black or anything so it's not the fuse. I'm getting no power to the box for them.

Could those be the reason why my fuel pump and ECU is getting no power and not starting? It turns over but can't start. If so, or if not, how could I get power to those? I checked under the box and the wires seems fine and I don't see any other wires that were effected.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

Do you have a wiring diagram?

You're going to need to verify power is everywhere it needs to be, start at the battery at work your way fwds.

I do have power everywhere. It turns over just doesn't start. And I have fixed the 3 broken wires with butt connectors and I still have no power to my 2 fuses and ECU and fuel pump. I also have spark. And as for the wiring diagram, honestly, I'm not that good to follow that. Hahah I'd get lost easily.

The ECU controls the fuel pump relay. So no power to the ECU means no power to the fuel pump. It also sends a ground signal to the injectors, so no ECU power means no signal to the injectors.

Find why you have no power to the ECU. Change those fuses that "look ok". Check for power at the fuse block.

The fuses that "look okay" are okay. I'm getting power to all my fuses except for those 2. (Eng Cont and fuel pump). Does the "Eng Cont" fuse have anything to do with the ECU to power it?

My car just died last night. might be having the same problem. It started fine and a second later just shut down. spins over fine but doesnt hit. i pulled the spark and tested it..got spark....and the plug was a bit wet so there was fuel in it. I also can hear the fuel pump prime when i just turn the key. I have a new fuel pump but idk if thats the cause or if its just some wiring somewhere.

can you hear your fuel pump prime when you turn the key?

I can't. I have no power to my ECU so now power to the pump. Been trying to look up how to give it direct 12V using the battery to test it but find nothing.

you should be able to pull it out and find the negative and positive terminals on it. just lightly tap those with the right connections. and you may be able to hear it spin but if not you should be able to feel it. I dont know the Nissan pumps specifically just know other fuel pumps in general.

about my car, i have a wiring problem but less severe. I towed it home on a strap and right outside my driveway i decided to give it one more crank just for s*** and giggles, and it fired right up as if it had no problem. I cant trust it though so i will dig into it (most likely a ground of some sort). I will also be replacing the fuel pump and pulling the timming chain guides out. so wen i pull the pump ill search for a way to test it and ill let you know. Im pissed with my 240

Powering the fuel pump is as easy as running some speaker wire from the battery to the fuel pump plug. That's just to test the pump mind you, don't use speaker wire for any sort of fix. It's just easy and cheap and most people have like 40 feet lying around...lol.

Did you use a meter to check the fuse location itself? The ones that are without power.

So when I run the wire from the battery to the Fuel pump, should it automatically start to prime? And honestly I don't think I have any. lol And are you talking about like a multimeter? if so, I have not. Because I don't know what to use or how to use it unless someone can explain. I only checked with a red light to see if they're getting power.

Definitely have to use a multimeter man. Youtube has videos on how to use them. They are very easy to use.

Alright I'll look it up. Can you tell me what specific setting I'd have to use so I can look it up?

There's one knob. It goes to DC. It's that easy.

This is my meter, it's in DC now. The top right corner of the screen says DC. The symbol the switch is positioned in is DC.

I checked the fuel pump last night and got it to prime with the direct 12V. So it works. And alright, I'll take a look at mine when I get home and see.
