ive had alot of problems with wiring with this swap, they sent me a hacked up harness with alot missing. im down to my last few wires. there is a harness clip that is close to the battery. there is three clips together in that location. one is for the starter the other is for the injectors and the other i cant figure out. there are 2 wires goin to it red/black and black/red. i wanted to see if the clip had anything to do with the coil not getting power so i grabed my volt metter and put it on the setting that tells you if they are connected. when i touched the b/r (clip) and the b/r (coil) it beeped saying they are conected somewhere. then i tried the other 2 wires r/b(clip) and the g/y (coil) and it beeped again. ive looked at the wiring diagram and cannot figure out why its not getting power and does this clip goes to. anyone have a clue?

Thanks tony

Do you have the coil plugged up? This might be what you are missing.

i had the coil plugged in. the only thing i didnt have plugged in was that harness clip, i was thinking mabe that the blk/red wire was the power for the coil. ive been trying to figure out that clip (blk/red and red/blk) but ive yet to find it. mabe theres a relay or resitor that is supposed to be plugged into it?

there is a resistor that sits around the coil area. let me go look at my car and see if I can find the one you are talking about.

if your looking close to the battery there is a plate that i beleive, the battery sits on, underneth that is 3 haness clips. they are attached to it. its near the motor mount. i beleive that its just to the side of the mount

thanks tony

yes theres a resistor just to the right of the coil, it has 3 wires goin to it, i think thats the power transistor. and there is also the one near the intake manifold that has 4 wires to it that would be the resistor and condenser. where should the coil get power from, the ecu? or is there a relay or a fuse it goes through? or anywhere i can check to see if any of it was getting power.

thanks for the help, tony

The coil gets power from the ecu. I looked around but didn't see a harness clip w/blk/red wires. I will take a better look underneath of the battery tray. Can you take a pic of exactly which harness clip you are talking about.

that really isnt my worry anymore, well at the time. its, im getting power to the coil not much though. but it wont even spark off the coil when i put the plug wire and a plug to it. what could cause it not to spark? i put a new coil in yesterday and still nothing. this is t
