First off im new here and thank you to everyone in advance for commenting on this.
Let me start off by saying the z32 has been my dream car for years and i was lucky enough to purchase one for my first car when i was 16. I am now 20 years old and am still fully in love with these cars despite having the most crambed engine bay i have ever seen.
So i took my car off the road last year due to paying way to much in insurance and being a 25 year old car it has its problems. Since i took it off the road i have tried starting it many times with no luck whatsoever. I asked for assistance from a buddy of mine and he took the battery out to check it and it tested fine so he threw it back in and tried to start it with nothing at all. After that i decided i would try to jump start it and before doing thay i realized he hooked the battery up wrong. Knowing what that could do i checked the main fuse and sure enough it was blown. I then ordered a new one and replaced it with still no luck at all.
So i am where i am now. I have absolutelt no power to anything for the vehicle. It has been sitting for abit so the battery is toast now and does not hold a charge so i threw my dailys battery in it so i could test some electrical and still no power to anything in the vehicle. I got my multimeter out and tested the battery and i have power coming out of it and to my fuse panel under the engine bay but thats it. All the fuses are good in that fuse panel as i tested them all not just looked at them but used a fuse tester. I dont know what else to do. The old owner of the vehicle hacked up the battery ground and has 2 small wires coming from the battery ground to the body and one to the intake plenum thats it. I was told it sounds like a bad ground wire but i do not know the location of all the ground wires to check.
If anyone has any ideas/advise on what to do it would be greatly appreciated. By the way its a 1990 z32 NA.
Thank you to everyone,
Dan
