Ok

here is the deal me and a friend was working on his 91 240SX SE Coupe 5 SPEED today. We were takeing everything out on the dashboard. I mean everything down to the wires and the metal bars. The Battery is good because I try to jump it and use it on my car. The reason we were trying to take everything out was because his HUD was not working. I mean the whole thing does not light up. when you turn on the headlight the clock light will turn off. but the Speed and Tech Still work but no light at night. anyway so we were trying to put all the switch back on other then the dash and everything that he does not need. But at first the car won't crank or turn it does nothing. but it still make the clicking nosie and the inside light, headlight, brake light work. Then out of no where everything went out. No power to anywhere.

I know is a long shot without the car next to your but can your give me a clue what should i look for. So I can help him out.

Thanks:thinker

check all fuses and fuse links ,sounds like you blew one. as far as the hud being dead sounds like your controller went south. or your dimmer knob is set to low or burnt out.

All the Fuse looks good. under the hood and next to the driver. but can anything be wrong with the 4 fuse behind the fuse box next to the clutch pedal?

Oh one more thing my friend was wondering what controller are you talking about? where is the controller located at?

The dimmer was set high as we could by pushing up but it did nothing.

if its gidital dash it has a controller for the illumination in the cluster and other night interior ilumination. should be near the left knee of the driver behind the panel.
