Did alot of searching didn't really get the answer i wanted. Ok after 4months in the shop i got my car back, WOHOOOO!!!!? Now here is the thing, my exhaust is really quite, all you hear is the turbo sucking in air. BUT when i let got of the accl, you can hear the exhaust really loud and deep. Wehni first got the car back i could hear the exhaust, now i can't while under accl. Another thing, i can hear the turbo but i don't feel the car acclerating any more. water pump seal was leaking so i got me another pump where do i get the water pump gaskget from. i got the walbro 255 lph pump, do i need to get the ecu programed for that.

sounds like you may have some boost leaks,do you have a boost gauge,if you do check to see what your boosting at.and for the water pump, the sr20det does not use a paper gasket,it just uses the liquid gasket, and no you do not need to do any mods for the walbro pump, just bolt it in and your good to go.hope that helps alittle.-brian

boost guages most often don't show boost leaks. The manifold will still reach such and such pressure, you're just losing the volume of air that should be entering the manifold.

easiest way I've found to check for air leaks is to pressurize the system manually. Of course, though, I've had access to air tools that make that easy to do and we had to fab an end cap for the intake elbow that also allowed as our air inlet.

Just go through and double check all your hose clamps and make sure they are tight. When i've had boost leaks, the car will feel like it wants to go fast, but it doesn't. I almost thought it was a clutch problem at first. like the engine was pumping for all its worth, but the car wasn't going anywhere. My hotpipe had popped out of its hose connector.
