well i just hooked up a pioneer head unit into my 1989 240sx that i just bought and it didnt have a radio and i hooked everything up right. well im getting no power to my 12v ignition source. and i have a good battery and everything. i just wondering what this could be. im stumped

Well if it doesn't work the "and I hooked everything up right" statement is debatable, hehe. Obvious first thing, radio fuse ok? Have you checked the wire with a voltmeter? Have you checked to see if the radio fuse has power when the key is on (probe two sides of fuse with meter)? Could be that the radio switched wire is ok and there is a fuse on the back of the radio that's bad. Could be that you don't have the ground wired good. Do you have a multimeter or at the very least a test light? One of those is a must to figure out what's wrong.
