no power steering......

power steering went in the q today. i was driving down the road and the idle pulley shot off and steering wheel went stiff . i was wondering if i should fix it or kill the power and get a new belt for the water pump. also i need to know if i can match this pulley off another car because the auto part store cant get sh*t for a Q . can someone tell me a part # or where i can find one

At everythinginfiniti.com the pulley and belt are pretty cheap. Call them (I think they close at 6pm Mountain time) and get a price quote. The Q isn't really something you want to drive without power steering, unless you're Chuck Norris.

Remember when replacing the pulley to make sure you note which order the washers go on. You'll see when you take it off.

are all the idle pulley the same size i wont to swich ps with the ac idle pulley

Be very careful not to overheat the motor as the same belt/pulley also effects the fan. If it "started" to over heat, do a full coolant and oil change/flush.

i know . that is why i swich the tensioner pulley with the ac pulley. which is only for the ac to main pulley.
