check your alternator, sounds crazy but the alternator on the 240s tend to give out slowly it could not be giving power and all of a sudden it kicks in again and the battery is the only thing powering the whole car. what you would need is a volt meter that plugs into your cigarette lighter i have a passport radar that you can see the voltage of the alternator its giving out, if it starts dropping to like 11 volts then the alternator stopped charging the system. And thats when your car will start bogging and turn off. thats my experience but it could be something else
your distributor rotor or cap might need replacing, spark plugs wires, sometimes MAF might start having problems, you can clean the MAF with a special spry they sell at auto stores. it could also be you battery terminals. i know the positive terminal has a red connector with 2 plugs, make sure there in good contact cause i know that one of those wires if you unplug it while the car is running it will turn off the car. also make sure grounds are all connected in the bay, and also make sure your ECU is connected properly and relays where the ECU is at and connector.
Oh and also double check if your wires that are under the driver side fender arn't chewed up by the tire that could cause problems,
