Hello all I have been browsing your site for most of the work day now, and can say I have learned alot about the Pathfinder.

I have an '03 Pathfinder that the wife drives so I only know their is a problem when I drive it. Last week I replaced the alternator, and serpentine belts. The Alternator belt will not stop sqeeking, but that is another issue. I have a new belt and am going to clean the pulleys. Maybe some smootz gone on the pulleys.

Anyways, I have a lose of power form the time I give it gas. i have replaced the fuel filter thinking it was it, and also put in a fresh air filter. The car is eating gas like cookie monster eats cookies. i am thinking it is the MAF any ideas? No codes have popped up.

I will try cleaning it cause I know the MAF is expensive.

I had the same problem and cleaned the MAF and it runs like a top now. If you don't have the special star and post screw drivers just take the four bolts out that are holding the MAF housing to the filter housing and loosen the clamp on the opposite side. Undo the MAF clip and take the entire housing with the MAF on it out. Take carb cleaner and spray it through the screen onto the metal part of the MAF. Get all the dust and dirt buildup off. If this is your problem, this will likely fix it or at least improve it.
