i just got done doing a clutch/transmission swap...i'm pretty sure i did everything correctly...after the install i went inside the car to feel the clutch pressure and to my surprise i felt nothing!...the pedal doesn't come back up...could it be the throwout bearing..? I'm positive i had it on right....i bled the clutch and everything...what could it be? I need all the help i can get on this...Thanks.

Follow the hydraulic lines all the way from the master cylinder to the operational (slave?) cylinder. I'm not sure about your model, but usually there is an "extra" device mouned on the firewall that is in series with the clutch cylinder. What this gizmo is for, I'm not exactly sure ... some pressure snubbing device or something.

But I do know (if it exists) it has to be dealth with. Some folks remove it. I found it sufficient on my '93 hardbody, just to bleed it. It has it's own bleed screw.

Good luck!

Do you still have the damper loop in?? It is on the inside of the passenger side frame rail. If you still have that in, remove it and bend the clutch hardline that is coming from the master cylinder to join directly with the soft line going into the slave cylinder. Once that is out, you can bleed it properly in 5 minutes max.

How old are your master and slave cylinders? Were they working fine before you swapped the transmission and clutch?

Bleed, Bleed, Bleed and then Bleed some more. Empty systems take a long time to bleed. To me it sounds like your master cylinder is bad. Buy a new master cylinder and slave cylinder and I would recommend getting a one piece stainless braided clutch line to eliminate the dampner. I just bought my nabco (which is oem) master and slave from frsport and my AP clutch line from 240sxmotoring. don't skimp on the master and slave this will be my third set of clutch pieces because I bought cheap junk from auto part stores. Total cost this time around about 120. Bench bleed your new system and install as on unit into the car. Then check your adjustment on you master cylinder at your clutch pedal.

It took me about 20minutes to bleed my rps 400ftlb clutch. Remove your dampner. Either that or your master / slave.

Is there any "proper" way to bend the line?

The "proper" way to bend it is to use a line bender. But you can use your hands and just bend it carefully. Be sure you don't kink it and it will be fine.
