no overdrive????? plz help

i just got another 240 and it did not have a working overdrive also the o/d light doesent come on button in or not. another thing is the gauges they dont light up and the speedos dont work hud or on the dash, i have the dash apart to check for wiring and it all looks good any ideas will be greatly appreciated.also i cant change to 5spd because my gf will be driving the car.

anyone ideas ????? my o/d does not work i dont think its not the trans because it would at least have the light. also could it be the a/t controll unit??

You should check your overdrive swtich with it pushed in there should be no continuity with it released you should get continuity. It is possible that it as gone bad. Try unplugging the switch and see if the overdrive works if so you can leave it unplugged until you can get another one to replace it.
