San Francisco? I seriously doubt it!themadscientist wrote:Cmon, that was a rhetorical question right? I hope her constituents remember her nonchalance and give her a pink slip.

what a great post. honestly.srellim234 wrote:In this case "I don't care" is the appropriate answer for her. Once you've amassed your power and intimidated your opposition, what you have to worry about is reelection within your district. What others think about her is irrelevant to her reelection.
Once a district has an elected official that rises to such a position of power, do you honestly think they would throw her out in favor of someone else who won't have nearly the clout?
Everybody talks about "throwing the bums out," but what they are really encouraging is for everyone else to throw their bums out. Once an elected official has amassed the money and power, their constituency is not going to give it up.
Power doesn't just corrupt the politicians. It corrupts their constituencies, too.
Do you think that if she is a toolbag to everyone but her own district they will still love her? It seems to me like many would realize that she's being a toolbag and not want her representing them - I mean I wouldn't want the neighborhood bully representing me because it would make the neighborhood look down on me.srellim234 wrote:What others think about her is irrelevant to her reelection.
Unfortunately, you are underestimating the irrationality of San Franciscans. Or overestimating their rationality. Whichever phrase makes it clearer as to what I am trying to say.dusred wrote:Do you think that if she is a toolbag to everyone but her own district they will still love her? Yeah, Jefferson and some of those other Founding Fathers of ours were pretty damned un-patriotic, eh Nance?Nancy Pelosi wrote:people who protest big government and its spending are un-American.
