i have a 89' 240sx with an sr20 in it. yesterday when i went to start my car the pedal got stuck up. so i pulled it back down with my hand which was kinda hard to do. when i went to push it back in to start the car it would'nt budge. i jacked it up and can see the slave cylinder is extended. has anyone heard of this i called around and no mechanic has. anyone have any idea's.

your post is very had to translate, so lets clarify....when you say the pedal got stuck up....do you mean down to the floor, then when you say you pulled it back down, i assume you meant you pulled it back up off the floor? then went to push it again and it wouldnt move, but when you looked at the slave, it seemed already engaged (like the pedal was pushed all the way in)? if this is all correct, i would go with a bad mastercylinder, or the clutch fork broke.

yup you got it right.

here's the latest. I loosened up the line connected to the master clutch cylinder and now the pedal moves freely but has no pressure. I added fluid and still have no pressure.

how can I check if it's the master cylinder or the fork? i jacked the car up and the from what i can see the fork looks fine. but there is only about 3" coming out of the transmission.

thats all you should be able to see. sounds like a bad m/c to me. they are only 25-30 bucks, so i would just replace, bleed, and hope for the best.
