I just rebuilt my KA motor. Before the Rebuild it wouldn't have oil pressure when I fired it up if it was still warm. Cold no problem. Well I put a new oil pump on when I rebuilt the motor. Cleaned all of the journals and the oil pick up. I disconnected the ignition and the fuel pump. Turned it over a bunch of times (each time I held it for about 10 seconds) but I never got any oil pressure. I didn't even get any oil to come out of the line going to the oil pressure gauge. Is there something I need to do to prime the oil pump or something? ALL suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks

take assembly lube and pour into hole in oil pump then turn the shaft around by hand till you get resistance then install and turn over motor depending on how fast you can get it to turn over without starting you might get pressure or not but when you fire it up you will have oil pressure.

you also put gear oil in the pump to help prime for start up.
