i know cops protect and serve but FuXX them. tonight i was driving home from bowling and i spot a cop in my rear view mirror. mind you im not speeding, racing or doing anything at all to make him pull me over. after he follow me for about 5 mins he threw his red and blues and pulled me to the side ( mind you it just finished snowing and its freezing cold outside) he said he pulled me over because my license was suspended which is bull s*** because driving while suspended is instant jail. i have every reciept saying that the two tickets i had was paid and when i go onto the dmv website my license comes up valid and not suspended. long story short he gave me two b.s tickets for no reason, towed my s13 (just finished the swap few days ago) and i have to go to court on the 19th when i have to go back to school in NC on the 5th. sorry guys if you feel this is a waste but i just needed a way to let out my frustrATION without getting locked up..

You're leaving out crucial information, such as what the two "BS" tickets were for.

Hate to say, it but I have to agree. The other day a cop past me doing about 110. Down the road I see a bunch of flashing lights which turns out to be 2 chargers helping another charger with a flat tire. Apparantly it takes 4 cops, speeds over 100, and flashing lights to change a tire. Then I come hope to see a video on the internet where a guy dies because the dang cop cant even preform the heimlich maneuver and another where a guy was beaten to death for no reason. I'm not saying that all cops are bad i'm just saying that it seems most will have no problem abusing power and generally make black and white decisions, not decisions based on morale.

Cops driving recklessly is the worst. I've seen the same ***hole cop on two separate occasions slow down at a red light, turn his sirens on and go through and then turn them off again. It's just sad.

I have been driving 20 years now, and have never been treated with anything but respect and fairness by the police. Pulled many times, mainly given verbal warnings, occasionally a ticket when I was acting extra stupid. Got one b.s. ticket at deals gap on my bike. 57 in a 30 in a construction zone. No construction and hadnt got to the construction signs yet. Still the officer was respectful, efficent, and polite. He was just doing his job, milking motorcyclists for money needed by the state of TN. I just chalked it up to how many times have I sped and not got caught, went and bought radar/laser protection for all my stuff and rolled on.

Most cops are cool if your cool.

When they can they decide if your getting a ticket based on the first 10 seconds at your window. Be polite, respectful of the office if not the man, and you will almost always drive away with a warning.

You know its wierd, but in my 14 years of driving, I've never once been treated unfairly by police officers.

Of course I'm always polite, I rarely ever break the law, and when I do I always pay my tickets promptly. Of course I'm sure those have nothing to do with it.

^ This.

And preceding an "F.U." with "no offense" is stupid.

No offense, but you're a whiner. I'm not seeing where you were harmed in any way. If your story is true, it will all be cleared up in court. It's not an officer's job to determine guilt or innocence.

Think.

It really depends where you live too... Like in Philly, cops won't pull you over for small violations, but if you go out to the suburbs, they're like traffic nazi's out there. They're also extremely rude to young people and black/hispanics because they automatically assume were doing something illegal. I've had friends who got handcuffed on the hood of their car while they and the whole car were completely searched, all for rolling through a stop sign.

^ That.

I must look like a bad guy or something, because I could (but won't) list horror stories with the police. I don't like them, I don't call them for help or for any other reason. If the police are not corrupt in your area then great for you, I have never been treated politely or fairly by any police officer no matter how respectful or polite I was.

Please note I'm not trying to argue with anyone and won't. I know my situations and am agreeing with the OP.

Happy holidays!

correct me if im wrong but, when you go to court just show proof to the judge that your license wasnt suspended and they should drop the charges(might have to pay the court fees still). Ticket arent finall until your subjected to punishment by the court, and ya i agree some cops abuse there power, BUT the majorty of them are pritty cool and as long as you dont make trouble they arent trouble. But good luck OP

I'll take harsh cops over no cops at all. I guarantee that for every 'BS' ticket we've received, we should have gotten about a dozen more for stupid crap that we got away with. I have no pity for people who get pulled over. Not even myself. I'll tell you what though- I have even less pity for people who don't learn from their mistakes. The last ticket I got was 3 years ago for doing 60 in a 40. I went to court and paid 500$ to keep the points off my license. I haven't done anything stupid since then. My attitude about the police has changed a lot since I moved to Jersey. The absolute worst drivers in the US outside of NYC. Hands down. Now when I see people getting pulled over I'm like, 'Good, throw the book at them.' I had never been in an accident in my life. Then I moved to Jersey and got hit FOUR times in four years. Not one of which was my fault. STUPID a** JERSEY DRIVERS. And to the OP... YOU'RE ONE OF THEM. You're obviously an idiot.

cops around here are crooked. My neighbor's mom's dad was the mayor and and now her kids literally do anything and get away with it. I've called the cops numerous times because they were making as much noise as they could 2am and cops never came. One of them does about 70 down my road every day yet Im the one that gets followed by cops. Just because I drive a little 2 door car they think I'm going to take off at 100 at any moment. I've been pulled over twice(not in this town though) and both times the officer was not rude at all. Usually they're pretty nice unless you provoke them

No speeding tickets, no points, no moving violations ever here. And I drive 50K a year for work.

I also have idiot friends, when your license is suspended you dont drive. Sounds like you paid your fines online maybe. Did you receive a letter from the state in the mail saying it was now valid? Or did you print your receipts that said your license is now valid?

I'd like to know what the tickets are for. I'm sure one is for a valid reason o have pulled you over. And if you show up in the system as suspended then yeah he only did his job.

Remember "fxxx the cop" until you need him.

I got a ticket a few months ago for 54 in a 40. The cop was so, so extremely nice. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Well, maybe not getting the ticket.

I agree with those who say be nice to the cops because I have gotten myself into some pretty stupid sh*t and every time I just talked my way out of it. But I still hate southern California police with a passion because of what they did to my dad when he did absolutely nothing to provoke them. His truck died on the side of the road so he called triple A to pick him and the truck up but three hours later when the truck still did not arrive a cop rolls up they arrest my dad and beat him into the ground for no reason saying he was "in suspected possesion of a controlled substance" WHICH IS B.S my dad never had anything and they found that out after they ransacked our truck and towed it to an impound yard then the next day they dumb my dad in the middle of nowhere with no phone or even shoes. Tottaly f*cked so ya be nice to cops but some are still f*cking a**holes.

I've been pulled over about 4 or 5 times in my town.1 for speeding, 1 for speeding and going off the road, 2 times for burning out in front of a cop, and 1 time doing burnouts and s*** in a parkinglot. Each time I was let off with a warning, or a bs no front plate ticket.I am thankfull and I don't speed in my town anymore just because I respect the cops for not f***ing me over. I havn't gotten a speeding ticket yet.
