I have a 90 ka24e and an obx racing header that made it nearly impossible to install the o2 sensor without bending the metal protector that shields the wire, due to the proximity to the firewall, cracking some of the porcelin. Anyway I noticed that my car doesn't run much different with the thing plugged in or not. Is there a reason for this, thought no o2 would make it run horribly. I have a JWT tune as well, could this be a factor. I am getting an safc soon and am also wondering if I could remove the o2 sensor and replace with a wideband air fuel sensor to the safc, is this plausible. I have a fully bottom end and bluprinted ka so the money has already been invested for performance and I am willing to shell out the bucks for a wideband if it allows me to squeeze out more ponies. All n/a.THANKS

Does anyone have any advice? Can i run the car with a piggyback like emanage ultimate and a wideband o2 instead of the stock o2 so I don't have to weld on a new bung.

a stock o2 sensor is shyt for tuning it only really knows when it hits stoich or close to it. An emanage is a piggy back like the afc but pre tuned.

if I was a kae guy still with some cash I'd do some head work and get a cam, maybe a light flywheel and pulley, maybe look into a carb setup like robello(spell check) racing they make some healthy n/a ka's

if you o2 was in good workign condition the ecu is still reading its memory, the tune should be able to handle no o2.....

thanks for the reply appreciate it. So it sounds like an emanage and wideband o2 would work on top of my jim wolf tune and eliminate the stock o2.Unfortunately I have so much invested into the maf setup that it would be hard for me to switch to a rebello or mikuni setup although my next kae build will be a more aggressive non street legal approach with carbs.I do have headwork, cam, balanced and blueprinted 89.5 10.6:1 arias pistons and pauter rods, underdrive pulley, stock flywheel though (machinist talked me out of it) Should be fun once I get the kinks worked outthanks again
