Is it nessasary to run a factory O2 sensor when I am using Nistune with a wideband? I am not currently running one but I am wondering if it would make it easier to tune since the factory O2 sensor is referenced in most of the lower left part of the map? Thanks!

usually its not needed. but im not sure with Nistune since i am not familiar with it.
but with AEM, i know that its not needed.

im gunna assume that its not needed (someone correct me if im wrong)
14.7 @ warm idle
11.x under boost

I use the lc-1 wideband as my stock 02 sensor. Allows you so send a narrowband signal to ecu(what stock reads) and send the wideband signal to the gauge. With nistune you can also receive a wideband signal directly into the program to tune.

With the LC-1, I retained my stock o2 sensor and installed a second bung in the DP.

Stock o2 location is too close for wbo2 placement and will cause premature failure. I was never able to get the NB-Sim to function correctly since Nissan does not use standard curves for their o2 sensors.

Unless I was running a full standalone (a la AEM, etc) I would retain the stock o2 sensor. Nistune is just a daughter-board for the stock ECU. I would at least run one starting out. I understand that you do not *have* to, but I prefer greater margins of safety.

You need the stock O2 to read the partial throttle area's after the tun is completed. It try's to maintain the 14.7

I'm running the Zeitronix wideband on my car, I just wired in the narrow band output wire to the stock 02 sensor wire on the ecu and it thinks it's a stock 02 sensor. I just log the wideband in nistune
