no muffler

02 q45 sportjust removed the rear muffler.left the flang in place.had straight pipes installed.(thanks for the idea kevin)will finish out with tips after the IMPUL kit is installed next mothh\Mark

I did this to my Y33, Removed the rear muffler..

It sounds more throughty up until 2000RPMS. after that it sounds as quiet as stock

I noticed "lag" in the lower end compared to stock, so i went back to OE.\

Thats my personal experience.

Thanks Mark, but I can't take full credit, I saw someone else's setup on luxuryJcars.

I didn't notice any difference at all powerwise, but my Q's always been very snappy. On mine you hear it all the way to redline but it sounds great. On the fwy you can barely hear it over the wind-noise, which on Y33's is very little, so that tells you it's still quiet at speed.
