It was just a matter of time.

Friggin ridiculous- 2 things. 1. Makes me wish i had an 09 gtr. 2. Nissan should not completely do away with the launch control. They could still have GTRs w/ lc, like lets say a base model w/o lc (for idiots without self control) and and a more expensive "track" version with. If a customer decides to use the lc function then Nissan needs to make it CLEAR that it will VOID the warranty. Plus warranties DO NOT last forever, and taking this feature away is simply just taking two steps back from the other competing manufacturers.

if you buy it for launch control.. your an idiot... simple as that. The car was never designed to be launched like a drag car. So they are preventing that kind of stresses on the drive train.

Don't forget about the spec v/ v spec, they may pimp out it's gearbox and give that launch control.

The other GT-Rs had launch control. It was called a clutch pedal. Nissan can take the GT-R and stick up their *** sideways. On a Nissan recognized track of course, wouldn't want to throw an error code on the black box. The gizmo R continues to adhere to my predictions at a frenetic pace, spiral into fail Nissan.

Nissan has historically made bad business decisions, as far as their product is concerned. There were a couple of recalls, that were unnecessary, that almost bankrupted them. Why would they be different with the GTR. Two up and one down (launch mode) voids the warranty. So where is the "nightmare"? The black box stores it all.

never going to happen. Actually driving your car is going to increasingly become an anachronism.
