So the situation is all the G's have been recalled and are no longer available.

What would everyone here opt to drive for around the same price and why?

Just Curious

I personally would probably go with a 4 series Audi. To me they are luxurious with decent HP considering it's a 1.8L and they aren't EVERYWHERE like the lexus.

What's would be ur choice?

To be completely honest with you how things are looking now I would have bought something that sips gas. I mean I love my car more than anything and spend lots of money in maintance making sure it drives like it's 2003 all over again, but with the possibility of gas reaching 6 dollars a gallon in three months, I would have opted for something that gets at least 30 mpg.

I probably would have kept my 93 5.0 Mustang GT until something else came out that I liked...

What other RWD coupes w/6spds are there that have close to 300hp?

assuming you are talking about coupes....I wouldn't be selling my Cobra, but instead be adding sport sprints, cobra R's, 275's on the rear and trying to convince the wifie that a SC does improve gas mileage.....

as for the sedan....would have to do a lot of test driving!!!Maybe the new Max....Possibly an AWD something...

Wait, what? Where aren't they available? I didn't read anything about this, so I'm confused.

Look at Nissan 350Z on the premise that is is a two-seat G. Then, back to my short list which was 2.7 liter Porsche Cayman, BMW 328i coupe, Audi TT V6 Quattro, Audi A4 V6 Quattro. Since it is now available, also look at the BMW 128i coupe. Outside possibilities, if I lucked onto a good one at a bargain price, are Jaguar XKE and Porsche 356.

Its a hypothetical question....

I would choose either a 350Z as its essentially the same thing or probably a Crossfire SRT6.

If Nissan/Infiniti recalled all of the Gs, I wouldn't give mine in. All of your Gs are off the market, mine is the only one left. Its now one of a kind and BIG MONEY! Chances of me being affected by the recall if I kept mine is 0, naturally.

I don't know what I'd get though in the same price range. With current gas prices I'd like to go with something more efficient maybe, but a Saab 9-3 Aero wouldn't be too bad. Or a CTS? Neither are more efficient, haha.

LOL good point.

Everyone seems to be going for the money savers. Kinda surprised. I thought everyone who owned a G was rich, except for me of course. LOL

I would get a used 03 impala(3800 series II). Turbo & intercool it. And have a 12 second daily driver.

Hard decision as there are not really any other cars that I really want within the same price range

I agree! The G is a real mix of everything, which is hard to beat. Still remains the car that saved Infiniti from the brink of extinction. Infiniti needs to send a thank you card to every owner for helping to save them form themselves.

Andrew, I don't know where you live...but around the DC area the audi a4 1.8t's are about as common as a civic...sickening really haha.

As for me...i'd go back with my first love. I'd get another Eagle Talon TSi AWD and redo her completely. Honestly most fun to drive car i've ever owned and the fastest

Audi, Lexus, Acura...they each have models that are in the same class as the G...I'd probably go with the Audi.
