No more boost

I just installed my gt2871r .64 and the car will not boost higher than 8psi. I am using the profec b to controll boost. I have even cranked the boost controller to 90% and still nothing. Could there be something wrong with my wastegate, my boost controller was working fine before the swap. I did have to play with the wastegate and bracket to make it fit but nothing I believe to damage it. Any suggestions.
