No money, but car needs to go faster

Can anyone tell me how to make my car faster without spending money. I can spend some but not alot. Could i adjust something, take something off, that will make my car faster. just asking, any help will do.

get rid of your interior, speakers, stereo, spare tire, passenger seat, a/c system, and power steering system, as well as the clutch fan and shroud. You can also cut out the skeleton of your hood.

All these parts together I gaurantee you weight over 200 lbs. In automotive performance terms, every 100lbs you lose is estimated to be worth 10 hp.

Getting rid of the clutch fan, a/c, and power steering also frees up the engine and gives you about 10-15 hp.

OR, you could spend some money and buy yourself an intake system for about 150 dollars, and make about 8hp.

edit: since you live in texas an have better gas than us Californians, you can advance your timing 4 degrees, and hollow out your cat. That there is definitely good for another 5-8:ylsuper
