Go to the Infiniti USA web site,
http://www.infinitiusa.com. In the middle of the bottom, click on "Contact Us". That will bring up a form. In the list box, "Select a topic...", the bottom item is "I want to request an Owner's Manual". Fill out the rest of the form and send if off. Since I haven't needed to get a manual this way, I don't know what the response will be.
I suspect the light is the VDC system warning you about wheel slip. VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control) is Infiniti's name for electronic stability control. Until you thoroughly understand your car's handling characteristics, I wouldn't turn off VDC on a slippery surface unless it's a big parking lot with nothing nearby to hit. VDC uses selective brake applications, wheel by wheel, to keep the car pointed in the direction the steering wheel's angle indicates you want to go. If necessary, it also reduces engine output. Although VDC can't repeal the laws of physics, it does a very good job of helping you maintain control under difficult conditions. All-wheel-drive, which your G35X has, helps since it is inherently more stable than rear wheel drive. (The price you pay is more weight and drag which sap performance and increase fuel consumption.)
