Have you validated the fuse and made sure the dimmer is not positioned off?

yes all fuses are good and in working order the dimmer switch is removed and the terminals back probed to find that there is no voltage present

Check at the fuse box to see if you have voltage there when the lights are on, then back-track to the wiring harness behind the fuse box. The harness then works its way into the engine bay via the drivers side fender and probably goes to the main fuse box....

The above assumes there is a wiring issue. If it is a switch issue, I would consult the FSM (or someone who has one) or take it to Nissan for warranty repair.

contanunity checks out ok there appears to be a solid path on all 3 wires and there is no power entering the rear of the switch are the lights run in series through the switch or are the lights run some other way?

Unfortunately, I have never picked up an FSM for the Maxi, so I don't have any diagrams. I'll see if I can dig anything up and post them here....

31k is under the 3yr-36k bumper-bumper warranty, so Nissan should fix the problem at no cost.

Not a problem.

Sounds like an interesting problem. Unfortunately, the link I use for the wiring diagrams is down so I can't pull anything up right now.

Good luck with it and let us know how it turns out with Nissan. Make sure, if you are taking it in, that they fix all recalls if they have not been done yet.

you should have a crank sensor campaign to be performed. At present there are no other recalls on the 03 max. You likely have a body contol unit problem.
