Okay im probably gonna get seriously flamed for this....but I did try searching and didnt get a definite answer. So hopefully one of you guys will be nice enough to answer this. First off, I have a s13 hatch and I need rims. 17x7? or 17x8? Im going to use the same size all round so i can still rotate my tires. Is there any *noticeable* difference in performance aside from getting a little better traction? Also, im planning on the 5Zigen FN01RC's. Yeah everyone has 'em but for good reason; light, decently priced, and looks good. It appears the 17x7's come in +35 and +42 offsets(my car is 4 lug). The 17x8's appear to only offer +35 offset. I want these rims to fit rather flush and clear my stock struts as well as my future coilovers. What width and offset(s) should I get for my car to achieve flushness? I would have no problem rolling my fenders but im not too much for pulling. If someone could please answer these questions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I was about to ask almost the same question...wow, thats a lot more rubber on the road... so these will fit flush and not rub with a 17x9 + 20 offset??

If you went 17x8 and 35 offset it would look fine. If you went 20 I would expect at least a fender roll.

Alright thanks big time guys. I totally just changed my mind on rims though. Sportmax 962's look sexy in gun metal with that polished lip and all.

That would look like ****e, especially in 7". IMO the highest offset you should get for 240 would be 38, and that's for 8" wheels. If you go 7" then I would go lower to around 30.

I have those exact rims(17X9), however i cant be of any real help to you because they have been sitting in my shop for eh.. 6-7 months lol. I can tell you this though, they are the heaviest damned rims ever. Also, i was told by the person who sold me them that i would need spacers for the front. I went with 9's all around mainly because i didnt want understeer from the 7's in the front and 9's in the rear. Also its nice to be able to rotate your tires.

Still sweet looking, affordable, but so damn heavy. I picked mine up for like 560 i think shipped.

yeah i read somewhere that they are like around 28 pounds or something. pretty heavy considering fn01's are only like 16 pounds but they look really good not to mention the price is really hard to beat.

The best way to check fitment is to actually put them on, to see if you like them ,people have different opinions about rim choice. Are you dead set on getting new rims and tires? If you keep an eye out you can get some used jdm rims in 16 or 17" for under $500 shipped, I assume you have no options for local places. I got a real nice set of ssr rims and 6 good tires for $350 off craigslist.
