Eh.

Not too interested in it, really.

GHIII is an Activision game, not a Harmonix game. And the song lineup SUCKS. I mean even worse than GHII's did.

I'm looking forward to Rock Band, though.

haha, actually GHIII isnt even an activision game, well, not really. the game is by neversoft, who is actually a subsidiary of activision, who bought the rights from harmonix. haha, so its second generation departed now.. but i like it, i'm still amazed that they've managed to keep building on the series and keep coming out with more improvements, unlike series such as dynasty warriors haha, needless to say though, i will prolly be playing the next DW just cus im addicted

Actually, looking at the complete list for Guitar Hero 3, it has more GOOD classic rock than either of it's predecessors. 1 and 2 had some good BANDS, but aside from Crossroads, they ignored most of those artists' best songs.

Paint it, Black! I might have to get it for that song alone.

ah, yes, i agree with you here. i think the third list is finally what guitar hero was looking for. a good eclectic collection of music from all areas of rock, and big hits from bands people will know i think its going to be amazing, but really i'm just another guitar hero addict. until something more captivating, with just as great of a replay and multiplayer value comes along, i'll be happily sticking to the guitar hero series til it all becomes a monotony.

I prefer not to. Playing GH makes me suck *** in real life. I get all ham handy trying to push 5 buttons in time on a ****ty micro plastic guitar, and then I'm all choppy when I go back to my Jackson where I have 144 possible notes to play. In my experience, with me and other guitarist buddies, GH seems to appeal mostly to people who DONT play guitar in real life, and anyone who does cant tolerate it. It usually has some decent songs in it though. Its funny that kids now know about Queen and Skynyrd and Megadeth and love them, when before they wouldnt give a **** about it.

I'd buy it. The thread title should be renamed "no money for guitar hero III." I'll get this game after gaming season and black friday have passed.

I have been playing guitar for years now, and I have no problem playing guitar hero, when i play guitar hero im not thinking about it being like a guitar at all, and realize its just a game.

Well, I know its a game as well, my point is that its just so much different. I would rather invest the hours of learning how to play the songs on a real guitar so I can get some sort of benefit out of it.

And kicking. Eagerly awaiting Assassins Creed to come out, even though I still need BioShock and Halo 3. I wish I had more money!

We need to set up a Forza race sometime soon. We talked a lot of **** when the game first came out, but we never raced.

I'm loving every moment of my GHIII.

What do i think of Rock band? I'm going to get it as well. Come on you guys, if you can dump $100 on a turbo timer or an Apexi Intake filter, owning both games isn't bad, :shugging:

But yea, I play the guitar but not very good. I can safetly say that playing the game gave me an edge on learning how to play. But after playing the game and moving to the guitar = garbage fingers.

GHIII song list rocks, can't wait to see what comes out for downloading.

If your not just hearing things and its actually there you probably have to unlock it through co-op.
