Hello there, fellow netizens!

My name is Jean-Guy (I've no reason to hide it as you seem to know each other fairly well) and I'm new-ish here; I've been creeping the forums over the past couple of weeks, along with some others, to determine one in which I may fit and have settled on this one.

I didn't see a specific "newbie" or "intro yourself" thread/board so I decided to throw it down here, but I could also just be blind and stupid...

I've long been a fan of Nissan/Infiniti, more specifically the Skyline. In fact, my first car (which I unfortunately had to sell for financial reasons) was an '05 Altima 3.5 SE...and I do miss her all the time :frown:

Any hoser, I do live up in Canadiatown and yes I do work at a Nissan dealership in a sales role. I'm not here to shamelessly plug myself or my dealership, nor am I here to get into any arguments...though I certainly don't mind providing information or clarification from a dealer perspective on certain issues if they ever arise.

It is my love of the brand that led me to work at a dealership, and it's that same love that's brought me to this forum.

And on that note, hello NICO and I hope I find a comfortable seat to rest my feet (:

Cheers,
JG

Wait, you no longer have a nissan/infiniti? Get back in the shadows!

Only kidding. I've never owned a nissan/infiniti. If they made a car worth owning, I'd get one! That said, very few companies make a car anymore that I consider owning...stupid Honda eliminating the s2000.

What would you say is one of the more popular Nissans in Canada (other than the Altima)?

I can't speak for Canada as a whole, because it would certainly depend on regional specifics (ex: the Prairies probably sell more of the Frontier and Titan to the farm crowd) but my dealership's biggest movers are certainly the Altima (as you'd guessed), Rogue and Versa Hatchback.

Sounds right. I'd rather have a last gen versa hatch than a brand new sentra.

Me too, to be honest. I'm 6'1" and in the upper part of the 200 lbs range, and I fit more comfortably in the '12 Versa hatch than in the '13 Sentra...

Nah, it doesn't look good as a 'vert, but as a coupe, I think the Z looks good. For sports cars, I like to drop the top.
And the GT-R is like the SUV of supercars - it's too tall with boring lines. Sure it has a lot of power, but it's too much for me to handle...
