No light on Driver side UNLOCK button?

I just noticed this at night, I was going through my cars feature to get friend with it, especially because I still hadn't figured out how to adjust me rearview mirrors. So I noticed on the driver door, the button for LOCK/UNLOCK Doors, the LOCK only lights up. Meaning only half the button glows, I just want to clarify if that's how it's suppose to be? It just seems really weird that every little thing is lit up except for the one piece.

they want you to be able to hit the lock button in the dark, not the unlock button. aka driving.

ignition off, inside lights come on and you can hit that button all you want...lol
